My name is Edit Regan. I arrived in Australia in 2001 as an overseas student studying English, Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery and completed my Bachelor’s Degree.
My Australian husband whom I met in Sydney is a major supporter of our children learning Hungarian and about my Hungarian community, customs and culture. Our girls have attended Hungarian dance group, Sydney Hungarian Scouts and have been attending Hungarian School Sydney since 2015.
I represented Hungarian School Sydney as it s President between 2019-2022 and as a Parent Representative between 2022-2025. When my time allows it I volunteer at the South Hungarian Club in Glendenning and at the events of the Sydney Hungarian Scouts.
At a professional level I have worked as a conference organiser and as a volunteer within the Hungarian community , I have held community events for Hungarian School Sydney.
From 2026 I have supported the NSW Hungarian Council in the capacity of Events Manager.
