The Sydney Hungarian Scout Groups exist to provide Hungarian children and youth living in Australia with a strong community, shared values, and a meaningful connection to the Hungarian language and culture.

Our activities are built on the core principles of scouting: service, community building, closeness to nature, and personal responsibility.
The boys’ scout troop has been operating in Sydney for over 75 years, and the girls’ troop for more than 60 years. For over a decade, the two troops have worked in close cooperation, organizing joint programs under shared leadership.
Our teams hold regular meetings, hikes, camps, and community events, working closely with the Hungarian school, churches, and other Hungarian organizations.
Our goal is to pass on the Hungarian language, culture, and traditions to the younger generation in a living and engaging way, while providing a safe and supportive community for families.
